The phrase “musculoskeletal physiotherapy” refers to the branch of physiotherapy that deals with problems of the musculoskeletal system. Muscles, bones, joints, nerves, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and spinal discs are all considered musculoskeletal. The basic sciences of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics are used as background theory in the assessment and care of patients in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. In the discipline of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, management approaches include manual evaluation and treatment techniques, particular therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, and guidance on posture and movement abnormalities, in addition to’manipulation.’ Orthopedics is the name given to this branch of physiotherapy in the United States.
